[Clients](https://www.staffwizard.com/en/staffwizard-knowledge-base/staffwizard-articles?hsLang=en#clients) # Creating an NFC Tag through the Client Profile From the left panel, navigate to **“Clients.”** A dropdown menu will appear—click on **“Client List.”** Select the client you want to assign the NFC tag(s) to. Once you're in the client's profile, go to the **“GPS + Form Settings”** tab, then select **“Checkpoint.”** This page will display all existing NFC, QR, and GPS checkpoints. To create a new NFC tag, click the blue **{+}** button. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642616087-3.jpg) **A new window will appear with the following fields:** - **Post Location: Choose where the NFC tag will be placed.** - **Checkpoint Name: Enter a name for the NFC tag—typically based on its location (e.g., *Front Door*, *Garage*, *Stairs*).** - **Checkpoint Type: Select the type of checkpoint you want to create: NFC, GPS, or QR Code.** You can also enable photo verification by toggling on **“Request a photo at the checkpoint?”** This will require users to take a photo when scanning the tag. **To include additional verification steps—like questions or fill-in-the-blank fields—click “Add Verification.”** Once all fields are filled out accordingly click on the blue \[Save\] button. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642616471-3.jpg) Once the NFC checkpoint has been created, it will populate at the top of the chart labeled in red **“Not Assigned”**. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836654974999-3.jpg) ### **Mobile App** Now navigate to the mobile app, open the **"StaffWizard Post Location"** app, log in, and then tap the gear icon at the top left corner of the screen, where you would enter your password. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642616855-3.jpg) After entering your password, tap the blue **"Setup CheckPoint"** button located at the bottom of the screen. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642618647-3.jpg)   Select the Corresponding account and post location, then select **"Continue".** ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642619159-3.jpg) At the top left, tap **“View Checkpoints.”** This will bring up a list of all created NFC tags. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642619415-3.jpg) Scroll to the bottom to find any that are still labeled as **“Incomplete.”** Tap the pencil icon next to the incomplete tag to edit its details before writing it to the NFC tag. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836654978967-3.jpg) If you make any changes, tap **“Update & Write.”** This will prompt you to scan the NFC tag. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642621847-3.jpg) Once the scan is successful, you'll see a **“Checkpoint Updated Successfully”** notification. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642622103-3.png) You'll then be taken to **Step 4** of the NFC tag creation process, where you’ll tap **“Complete.”** The NFC tag is now assigned. ![](https://www.staffwizard.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/31836642622231-3.jpg)       Related to -
